There couldn’t be anybody sweeter than Nate and Mandy. The sweet, quiet adoration they have for each other made for such an easy wedding day to capture. It was also so much fun because my talented friend Shea came from Chicago and second shot this wedding with me!

I always love following the connections of how I came to work with couples. My younger sister, Maya, was best friends with Nate’s younger sister, Cassidy, when they were in middle school. Cass ended up being one of my earliest clients for high school senior photos back in 2018. We came full circle again getting to see Cass as one of Mandy’s bridesmaids. It means so much when friends become clients and clients become friends.

We started our day at Mandy and Nate’s new apartment where Mandy and her wedding party were getting ready. Her entire look was reminiscent of a Disney princess, and honestly if Mandy sang I think woodland animals would come and lay their heads in her lap. She was so relaxed, helping her bridesmaids do their hair and makeup.

Shea and I went to St. Mary Cathedral to meet with Nate and his wedding party. This ceremony was especially special because Nate had studied in the seminary and had so many priest friends saying the wedding mass.

It was also a priority for Nate and Mandy to get photos with all of their guests, so the DJ queued up a LOOONG song and we ran around to every table and took photos. The rest of the evening was a huge dance party with all of their friends and family.
